What's a skill?

A skill is a folder with one SKILL.md file: instructions, checklists and output formats for one kind of job. Claude Code loads its short description at startup and reads the full file only when your request matches. You type "write ads for this page", and Claude follows a tested playbook: three angles, exact character limits and a policy check. Otherwise you get whatever it improvises that day.

What do I need?

Claude Code (any plan), or a Claude app plan with Skills turned on. The skills are plain text, so nothing gets installed or runs on your machine.

How do I install it?

Unzip it and run cp -R claude-skill-pack/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/, then start a new session. For one project only, copy into .claude/skills/ in that project. On Claude desktop or claude.ai, zip a skill folder and upload it under Skills in settings.

Aren't there thousands of free skills?

Yes, and some are great. Most are untested prompts dumped into a repo. These are 10 skills we actually use, each with a full workflow, exact formats and guardrails. Try the 3 free ones first, and if they don't beat what you have, don't buy.

Do they only work for coding?

No. Claude Code is the easiest place to run them, but these are business skills: writing, marketing, sales, inbox and support. They work in any folder, code or not.

Can I edit them?

Please do. Add your brand voice, banned words, policies or examples to the SKILL.md and Claude follows it.
